The Remotus MB-28 transmitter is the latest addition to the Remotus product family. The unique transmitter incorporates pushbuttons and joysticks in one model. “It’s the first of its type on the market,” states Per-Ola Nyström from Åkerströms Björbo, who helped develop the new transmitter. The transmitter is designed for remote control of various mobile applications such as load changers, salvagers, concrete pumps, and more.
Åkerströms Björbo pushes development one step farther. The Remotus MB-28 transmitter is the result of Åkerströms’ innovative thinking and customer input. The MB-28 has a pushbutton transmitter design with all the functionality of a joystick transmitter.
“This is a totally new, unique transmitter with eight two-stage pushbuttons and two joysticks incorporated into the same model," says Andreas Hedström, sales manager at Åkerströms Björbo. “The transmitter is easy to maneuver with one hand—making it better for certain situations in which functionality of a joystick transmitter would otherwise be needed. In principle, you can use it with any mobile application; the list of possibilities is long.”
Extended functionality
The Remotus MB-28 transmitter can control 4 analog and 8 digital functions in 2 steps. There is also a switch which can extend the functionality. The transmitter is also sleighted for later release in a version with an indicator display for various functions such as weight.
Tailored to rugged environments
The Remotus MB-28 is the newest addition to the Remotus product family—Åkerströms' radio control systems for mobile units, cranes and hoists.
Like other Remotus transmitter models, the Remotus MB-28 meets IP 65 standards and tolerates tough conditions such as moisture, dust, cold, heat, shocks, and vibrations.
Demonstrated at Hannover Messe trade show
“We’re launching the new product in Sweden and Europe—the first models will be demonstrated at Hannover Messe in Hannover, Germany on 20-24 April. We’ll be there with our own booth,” says Hedström.
Nyström and Hedström are convinced that the Remotus MB-28 will be a new bestseller for Åkerströms Björbo.
