Åkerströms Björbo AB has received an additional order for delivery of remote control systems to the mining industry. The order is for a comprehensive infrastructure for the world’s largest gold mine, Grasberg Mine, located in Indonesia. The order is worth SEK 500,000 with deliveries in March.

Åkerströms’ remote control systems will be used to control loading and unloading processes for the driverless trains that transport ore from mine to enrichment plant.
"We are proud to continue to be entrusted with delivering additional remote control systems to one of the world's largest mines, said sales manager Anna Stiwne. It’s nice to start the year with good news and this shows that we continue to be a strong player in the rugged environments of the mining industry."
